Kane Watch: Didn't your mother ever tell you...

...that you shouldn't jump off a bridge just because everyone else is doing it?

In all honesty, I have no problem with a national day of rememberance for slavery. Perhaps it could be during the entire month dedicated to black history.

And as for today's column, I don't think the issue with the Evelyn Smith case was that the story changed. It's either that he didn't do his research (shouldn't reporters do that?) or purposely withheld information in the interest of making the story fit his template.

Neither is good.
