Kane Watch: A Question

I must have missed something. Can someone point me in the direction of any blogger, opinion maker or newsource equating this "political shenanigan [the Milwaukee election day tire slashing] with the Jim Crow South"?

Kane says:

Ever since the tire-slashing incident was made public, the outrage has been
volcanic from those who would love to compare it to similar vandalism or voter
intimidation used decades ago in the Deep South.

That's because, in this case, most of the suspects are African-American.

It's a passionate argument for anyone who remembers the time not so long ago when Southern poll workers used all kinds of nefarious strategies to turn away black voters.

Who are the people making this comparison? Is it even happening? From the way Kane puts it, it seems that there are "those who would love" to make the comparison. Would love. Would. So are people actually making that argument.

Seriously. Someone. Tell me. Please.
