My Sensitive Side

I watched Forrest Gump for the fifth time tonight.

It occurred to me that ever since the first time I saw it twelve years ago, I can't get through the last fifteen or so minutes without tearing up.

So now I have a question for the guys out there: All manliness aside, is there any movie that does the same thing to you?

Geez, I'm a wimp. Name a sappy movie and I've probably teared up in it. Titanic, Forest Gump, Sleepless in Seattle, The Passion of the Christ. But Titanic was tops. I don't know what it was that day but as soon as the string quartet started playing on the deck, I lost it. Cried through the rest of the movie.

OK, my deepest darkest secret is now out.

I can be flipping through the channels and hit the last couple minutes of It's a Wonderful Life and I start balling like a baby.

The end of Field of Dreams and the courtroom scene when the black preacher tells Scout to stand up because her father is passing in To Kill A Mockingbird effect me the same way.

Ok - That's just the testastarone talking. There are a lot of 'emotional' movies out there. My worse use to be the really touchy feely episodes of Extreme Makeover - Home Edition.

I have to say, Sleepless in Seattle, somewhat, as I am a romantic. Passion of the Christ hits hard, because of my Faith.

Almost any scene with Mother/Child Drama... Soul Food; In the gloaming; Joy Luck Club.
Almost and scene with Dying Friends... It's my party; The Laramie Progect.
Most recently... RENT! Cried through the entire thing.
